Singapore casinos attract locals despite entry fees

Singapore lifted a 40-year ban against gambling in 2005 and opened two casinos this year. However, the city-state charges Singapore residents $70 entry fees for the casinos in an attempt to discourage gambling. "It's expensive, but there are still thousands of Singaporeans gambling," said Singapore resident Eric Kan.
