Study links dietary restrictions, smoking in teens

Researchers found a relationship among smoking, weight issues and diet in adolescents, according to a report in Pediatrics. A survey of 4,523 high-school students showed that heavy smokers were less likely to follow healthy dietary restrictions than nonsmokers and that unhealthy diet restrictions were more common in both light and heavy smokers than in nonsmokers.
