Walgreens expands mobile e-commerce efforts

Walgreens is building on the early success of its mobile commerce program, adding new features to its site and iPhone app and creating new apps for BlackBerry and Android users. Customers can now opt in to be notified by text message when their prescriptions are ready, and shoppers can also use the service to check on orders or shipments via mobile devices.
