The 401(k) makes a comeback, with a few alterations

After cutting retirement plans during the recession, many firms are beginning to offer 401(k) matching to their employees again, although the matches may be smaller this time around. The number of employers offering 401(k)s this year is 93%, up from 83% in 2008, according to a survey by the Society for Human Resource Management.
