Teachers across the country face uncertain futures

Job uncertainty has become a downside of the U.S. teaching profession for many educators, as many school districts send layoff notices each spring only to recall many teachers by the fall. "The sad part is that morale dips so drastically once the pink slips go out, because the worry begins about family, mortgage, stuff like that," drama teacher Misty Monroe said.
