Geolocation technology gains in popularity

Sports leagues, especially Major League Baseball, are employing geolocation software as it sells Internet broadcats of live games. RealNetworks also has used the technology extensively to determine whether Internet users are eligible to buy music from its MusicNet and Rhapsody sites.
