Episcopalians to vote on LGBT role in church

Episcopalians, at their triannual general convention this weekend in Columbus, Ohio, will vote on a series of resolutions regarding the role of gays and lesbians in the church that could lead to greater unity -- or a split -- between the U.S. Episcopal Church and the global Anglican Communion. The resolutions do not reverse 2003 decisions that permitted the ordination of gay bishops and the blessing of same-sex unions, but urge caution in these matters.
