Lawsuit filed over Bermuda cruise that went to Canada

New Jersey is suing Royal Caribbean over a 2005 cruise to the Bahamas that was rerouted to Canada at the last minute. Passengers boarding the Voyager of the Seas were informed that a tropical storm had forced the drastic itinerary change and were offered a 25% discount on a future cruise and a credit to cover the difference in taxes and port fees. Royal Caribbean acknowledged passengers' disappointment but said that for safety reasons, the ship "could not knowingly sail into a predicted hurricane."
