Israel and Syria resume peace talks in Turkey

Israel and Syria are participating in peace talks mediated by Turkish officials this week in Ankara, Turkey. The last meeting between Israel and Syria in 2000 ended without resolution. At issue is the return of the Golan Heights, which Israel captured in the 1967 war.
