Report: More support needed for Virginia youth with disabilities

Too few young Virginians with disabilities are progressing academically, graduating from high school and living independently, says a Virginia Board for People with Disabilities report released Monday. Too little political and financial support is provided to group homes and families who want to care for children with disabilities at home, resulting in too many young people being institutionalized, the report said.
