Autism Summit seeks to encourage earlier diagnosis

Public and private health groups attending Milwaukee's first Autism Summit aim to reach out to families and physicians and look at strategies, such as universal screening, to improve diagnosis and treatment of autistic children. Experts are concerned that children aren't diagnosed early enough, especially in poor or rural areas, causing them to miss a critical window for therapy.
