Children are healthier, safer than a generation ago

CDC data show that infant mortality rates have declined, there are newer vaccinations and there are fewer deaths from unintentional injuries compared with a generation ago. Fewer pregnant women smoke, and more are getting prenatal care and are breast-feeding their babies.
