Children healthier, safer than a generation ago

New CDC data show infant mortality rates have declined, parents are getting their children vaccinated against disease and there are fewer deaths from unintentional injuries compared with a generation ago. Fewer pregnant women smoke, and more are getting prenatal care and are breast-feeding their babies.
