Economy may start to expand slowly in 2010, IMF says

The U.S. economy will shrink 2.5% in 2009 and expand .75% in 2010, according to the International Monetary Fund. However, the IMF staff review said the troubled housing and labor markets will continue to restrain growth for some time. It also indicated that the stimulus package as well as monetary policy was easing the strain on the economy.
