Nursing grads in California find jobs harder to get

New nurses graduating from Bakersfield College and Cal State Bakersfield are no longer assured of having a job waiting for them, due to the economic downturn. Hospitals are cutting positions and cutting back hours, more experienced nurses are returning to the work force or delaying retirement, and an increase in new graduates is contributing to the current surplus.
