Real-time search is the new frontier

The emergence of Twitter as a popular online medium has accelerated the demand for real-time Web search. Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft are putting resources into developing online tools to limit and fine-tune Web searches to focus on recently updated sources and breaking news. Real-time search is expected to be a big draw for marketers. "Every conceivable advertiser will be interested. It will create a huge monetization opportunity," venture capitalist Ron Conway of SV Angel said.
