Nevada scientists put bridge materials to quake test

The University of Nevada at Reno is putting bridge construction materials to an earth-shaking test. Looking at the impact of a magnitude 8 earthquake on a 110-foot-long, four-span concrete bridge, scientists are testing the durability of materials, including glass and carbon composites.
