Sturdy vines can perform several garden tasks

Members of the trumpet creeper family, such as the trumpet vine, can help a garden and can grow quickly to cover buildings, fences or other structures. For instance, the trumpet vine has buds that are red with an orange tinge that create a fiery display when they open. When the flowers fall to the ground, they can be added to mulch or used for a compost pile. The royal trumpet vine can cover heights up to 30 feet and can spread as just as wide.
