Report: Most U.S. hospitals use in-house patient access tools

Homegrown tools that streamline functions such as claims processing and bill estimation dominate the market for patient access solutions among U.S. hospitals, according to a CapSite report. Of the 513 hospitals surveyed in the report, 89% use automated eligibility systems, 51% have bill estimation solutions, and 46% employ tools to track patients' likelihood to pay.
