Study: Doctors see value, loopholes in PHR adoption

A study in Canadian Family Physician indicates that primary care providers have a generally positive attitude toward personal health records, saying the technology is inevitable and has the potential to boost patient engagement. However, factors related to workloads, information security and changes to the relationship with patients remain barriers to PHR use among providers.
