Virgin America is Leap-X's first customer

Virgin America is partnering with the CFM International Leap-X power plant to put engines in its fleet of Airbus A320neo twin jets, a partnership valued at $1.4 billion. "Choosing Leap gives us the best of all worlds -- the most advanced technology, significant fuel savings, consistency with our current fleet and the reliability of CFM," said Virgin America CEO David Cush.
