Canadian tribunal to rule on credit-card fee issues

Canada's retailers have long decried the 1.5% to 3% transaction fees charged by Visa, MasterCard and the issuing banks on every credit card purchase. Now, merchants are waiting for a decision from Canada’s Competition Tribunal on whether they will be able to impose surcharges on credit-card purchases and choose which cards they will accept.
