Canadians claim prize-winning flight in Sikorsky contest

AeroVelo, a Canadian team working toward the Sikorsky Prize for human-powered helicopter flight, tweeted recently that it had completed a prize-winning flight and was waiting for confirmation from the American Helicopter Society. The AHS will award $250,000 to any team who can fly a human-powered helicopter for 60 seconds, at a height of at least 10 feet, while staying inside an area of 1,076 square feet.
