Chevron commences LNG shipments from Angolan facility

Chevron has started shipping liquefied natural gas from its $10 billion facility in Angola after an 18-month delay, the company said. Sonangol, a state-owned firm, purchased the gas, which will be transported to Brazil. "First gas at Angola LNG is an important milestone in support of our strategic plan to grow our production," said George Kirkland, vice chairman and executive vice president of upstream at Chevron.
