DISH's cost to buy Sprint may jump by $1.2B

DISH Network is running into more obstacles in its efforts to outbid SoftBank for Sprint Nextel, according to a published report that says the satellite provider would have to buy back a convertible bond -- now valued at $1.2 billion -- that the Japanese carrier bought from Sprint in October. The two companies last week amended their previous debt agreement to allow SoftBank to sell the bonds back if DISH wins Sprint, according to regulatory filings.
