Top-ranked Minn. companies cite value of employee engagement

Employee engagement can be a workplace differentiator, according to a survey of large employers in the Minneapolis area. "Employees want a sense of control and autonomy. They don't want to be micromanaged. They want a sense of competence and that they are making progress on their goals," said Theresa Glomb of the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
