Can common core help close the digital divide?

California schools are investing in new technology as part of their transition to the Common Core State Standards. The quicker adoption of new technology is helping to bridge the digital divide, some say. Common core field tests also prompted some school officials to rethink their technical support needs and how they use computers in the classroom.
