Canadian debate over GMOs rages on

The debate over genetically modified foods continues in Canada, where there are no labeling requirements despite renewed consumer interest in the providence of the food supply. In a recent poll, only 28% of Canadians felt the government would stop GM food sales if they posed any health risks. Meanwhile progress continues, such as work by American Oil Chemists' Society member Randall Weselake to increase the oil content in crop seeds.
