Educators collaborate to help Md. students learn about War of 1812

Eighth-graders in Maryland recently presented three short films they created to highlight key people, sites and events in the War of 1812. Jackie Sass, an eighth-grade U.S. history teacher, collaborated with Kim Popetz, the administrator of education for Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum, on the project that explored local history and enabled students to become experts on the topic. "They're going to remember this forever," Sass said.
