Newly insured struggle to understand health insurance lingo

Many newly insured Americans are struggling to understand which services are covered completely and when cost-sharing applies, how to get prescriptions refilled and how to interpret statements of benefits. Universities, community health clinics and nonprofit organizations are holding workshops to boost health literacy in their communities, and insurers are holding webcasts and sending welcome kits that aim to decode the language of insurance.
