Working women have more influence over household purchases: Report

Women tend to have more decision-making authority over household purchases when they have jobs, according to a study from the University of Colorado Boulder. "Bringing more economic resources to the household by women can actually improve the weight that's given to their preferences within the household," said Francisca Antman, the study's author. The findings were based on families living in Mexico, but Antman said she believes they may apply elsewhere.
