Maryland's achievement gap closing

Maryland's minority and white students are continuing a five-year statewide trend of narrowing the achievement gap on state tests, according to an analysis. Baltimore County Superintendent Joe A. Hairston said there is no secret recipe for bridging the gap: "There are influences over which we have no control, but we have to respond the best way we can."
