Diploma options aim to meet needs of Virgina students

Virginia is increasing its minimum requirements for high-school graduation while also offering students diploma options based on their interests and career aspirations. "To treat all students the same makes no sense," said Virginia Education Secretary Thomas R. Morris. "Students learn at different rates and at different levels of achievement."
