Editorial: Time for new limits on pilot rest

A New York Times editorial says the FAA needs to reconsider rules on pilot rest that date back to the 1940s. According to federal investigators, fatigue may have played a role in the Colgan crash outside Buffalo earlier this year. "If the FAA does not quickly change the rules, Congress should write new rules when it reauthorizes the agency this year," the editorial said.
