Hiring at financial firms shows signs of modest rebound

Large and midsize financial-services institutions have begun modestly hiring once again. "People are starting to unlock the doors and talk to us about wanting to hire," said Richard G. Lipstein, managing director at executive-search firm Boyden World Corp. The sector has eliminated 600,000 jobs since December 2006.
