Virginia is in the process of increasing its minimum requirements for high-school graduation while offering students diploma options based on their interests and career aspirations. "To treat all students the same makes no sense," said Virginia Education Secretary Thomas R. Morris. "Students learn at different rates and at different levels of achievement."
