APIC launches new survey on MRSA

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology has launched a survey with the goal of updating data on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus for the first time since 2006. The group is urging all health care facilities to take part so the survey will be able to gather more information. The initiative seeks to find out whether MRSA cases have gone up or down in hospitals and the type of preventive measures that facilities are implementing, among other concerns.
