Class of students with special needs stars in end-of-year musical

Students with special needs at an Oregon elementary school closed out the school year with a musical-theater production of "The Jungle Book." The students are members of the school's Independent Skills Center class, which was created this year to help students learn social, communication and life skills, as well as functional academics. The students, who did not have speaking parts in the play, performed with the help of their teachers and fifth-grade friends in general education.
