Disaster-relief industry booms in the wake of catastrophes

Business is booming for small businesses in the growing disaster-relief industry as more governments, companies and individuals look to protect themselves and recover from disasters such as the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. "We benefit from other people's miseries more or less," says Michael Richardson, who owns a South Carolina-based manufacturer of cadaver storage and transport equipment. "It sounds kind of morbid or arrogant, but someone's got to do it."
