HHS to distribute $25 million for malpractice lawsuit reduction programs

In an effort to overhaul the medical-malpractice system in the U.S., the Obama administration will fund pilot projects to reduce preventable injuries, disclose medical errors, speed up patient compensation, develop evidence-based guidelines and steer patients toward alternative dispute-resolution programs.
