Lingering consumer caution may slow summer sales

After spring splurges, consumers may be reining in their spending this summer and heading back into bargain-hunting mode, NPR reports. "We think caution is lingering among many consumers, given the employment market and some uncertainty regarding the economy," said Morningstar analyst Kimberly Picciola.
