Los Angeles food-truck fans take sides via Twitter

Two proposals by a Los Angeles city councilman to limit parking by the city's flourishing food trucks as brick-and-mortar eateries worry about the competition is meeting with heated tweets and Facebook posts by the mobile eateries and the diners who love them. One proposal would explore options for limiting food-truck parking at commercial area meters, and the other would look into limiting the operations to specially created catering zones. Courts struck down earlier legislative efforts to curb the burgeoning industry.
