Texas aims to facilitate the rollout of rural Web service

Texas authorities on Wednesday unfurled a federally funded interactive map that pinpoints -- down to each home -- whether rural residents have access to broadband services. The state's Department of Agriculture said 99% of Texas homes have links to a broadband connection, including DSL and wireless services.
