Study: Tablets have infotainment potential in cars

Tablet computers, which are primarily designed for content consumption rather than content creation, are an ideal choice for rear-seat infotainment in cars, according to a study by IHS iSuppli. The study went on to say, however, that smartphones still are "the preferential platform for car infotainment" because they can be integrated so well with GPS devices and media players.
