Australia adds voluntary nutrition ranking system

Australia has launched a front-of-pack system that ranks the nutrition of packaged products on a five-star scale. Tim Piper, confectionery advocate for the Australian Industry Group, said the confectionery industry supports the "voluntary nature of the new labeling regime," but wants to make sure there is enough time for the transition.
