Businesses bear the high cost of app and site development

Businesses typically have enough money to fund a basic, template-based application and mobile-optimized site, but a native e-commerce app can cost up to $1 million and require costly upkeep, according to a Forrester report. However, about 75% of businesses said they have mobile-optimized sites and the rest said they'll have one by year's end, according to the report.
