CEO: Wal-Mart will increase safety focus in Bangladesh

Wal-Mart has instituted a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to unsafe factory conditions among contractors and sub-contractors and will step up auditing, training and third-party structural inspections of the factories making its apparel in Bangladesh, said CEO Mike Duke. "I think in some cases helping markets like Bangladesh to raise the standards is better than abandoning a market like that."
