G-8 poised to water down measure on corporate-tax avoidance

Leaders from the Group of Eight countries are meeting in Northern Ireland this week to discuss measures intended to rein in tax avoidance. However, a draft statement indicates that the G-8 won't back a rule that would require companies to disclose tax payments, profit and revenue country by country. Instead, they appear set to support a less stringent alternative.
