J&J unit gains approval for clot-removal device in Europe

Codman Neuro, which is part of Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes business, has earned the CE mark in Europe for its Revive SE clot-removal system. The next-generation device, which comes with a new strut that reduces the force required to guide the system with a microcatheter, is used to treat acute ischemic stroke by restoring blood flow to the patient's brain.
