Robotic module tests Ford vehicles when the driving is risky

Risky testing of Ford vehicles can now be handled by robotic drivers. The company says the robots have been used on eight test vehicles to date at Ford's Michigan Proving Grounds. The modules are installed in each vehicle to control steering, acceleration and braking over a pre-programmed course during which the vehicle is tracked by cameras and GPS.
